Jerry Ipsen, an experienced Certified Fraud Examiner with a background in financial and criminal investigations, also holds a master’s degree in business administration (Finance).  Jerry, coauthor of “Keeper of the Money Bag” published by the Institute of Internal Auditors global magazine, provides fraud prevention training teaching church staff, leaders, and seminary students on why people steal and the “need-to-know” procedures for collections and proper money management.

Church staff and seminary students will be introduced to fraud prevention measures including internal controls and church policies regarding collections, money handling, the use of cameras, employee fidelity bonds and dishonesty insurance, and the Fourth Amendment relating to lawful searches.

Those in attendance will gain valuable insight into church fraud, why it happens, who’s doing it, and what can be done to stop those from harming the church for personal gain.
